Symptoms of Aspirin Overdose

Acute overdose (occurs when one intentionally takes in a large dose of aspirin at once):

• nausea
• vomiting
• abdominal pain (commonly due to inflammation and bleeding in the stomach)

Chronic overdose (occurs especially when the kidneys do not function correctly and when dehydrated and when aspirin is taken daily in a very long period of time as a pain reliever):

• lethargy
• tinnitus
• dizziness
• confusion
• seizure
• cerebral edema
• coma
